“Brexit Ware is a Brill-based project recording on china some of the politics of Britain today. Harriet Coles’ work is in the centuries-old tradition of political pottery. She uses classic designs of antique blue and white china to depict Brexit as it unfolds. She works from an old brick kiln in the village using bone china made in Stoke-on-Trent.

Burleigh Pottery in comparison

Turns out an artists was already doing something quite similar but regarding the entirety of England instead. This was motivating as it allowed me to see the possibility that taking patterns and almost hiding meanings could play a great part in adding even more depth to my pottery final outcomes.
This also reminded me of the IOBJECT Ian Hislop exhibition again as there was a teapot that if you placed a mirror under its spout showed the number 45 in accordance to a hidden revolt due to a newspaper article in the past.
