Yang Yongliang – Phantom Landscape
Looking into this artist allowed me to question what art form on the pottery is Stoke known for and how could i maybe incorporate this into taking about the idea’s and stories of the plates or earthwards provenance.

Then it struck me. Burleigh Pottery produced at the local pot bank to me Middleport art work was actually inspired by Japanese art. This was maybe something i could link together as an idea of relation with art form and clay, but this pattern was actually inspired by Japanese art and not a home made Stoke one in which i was looking for.
Still, the methodology and inspiration was there as a form of talking realistically about your home town.
