Testing with shapes of vase.

I was thinking at first the very format of the work could have been quite simple, but then i wanted to trial some of my prints on some modern pottery designs. This, even though looks quite unique and different, takes away the sentimentality away from the piece. What i mean by this is the idea that my hole purpose of doing this project is to revive the name of Stoke in everyones vocabulary and their pottery, not the modern pottery.

So this allowed me to see my designs on other works and made me realise the context of the piece needs to be in keeping with the story in hand. So for instance the Hannah Dale story on either a plate or a pint jug to represent the idea of her weight, habit or story.
