The final outcomes to ‘Aunt Smoke’ was a set of 4 x A0 digital paintings that explored the first story in the book left to me by my Aunt Smoke. The story of Hannah Dale told through a developed fantasised and anthropomorphised world that elaborated on the connection between the hidden and forgotten provenance of ceramic figures (the vessel) and the stories they held. The images were a composite of both visual and historical research to formulate my own world that both enlightened people on hidden stories and forgotten appreciation of the craft and culture of the Potteries. All images being a combination of own visual development and compositionally being inspired by research throughout the project. The files are all saved as RGB 841mm x 1189 mm Jpegs at 360 dpi saved in several places for safety. RGB did give my prints a more vibrant finish, and the choice to print them at scale and on gloss was possibly the most complimentary format to my work, for both interaction and finish. Scale had the most impact as it allowed other people to see interact with details that on a smaller scale were lost. This allowed me to contemplate how your audience should always be at the forefront of your images, as they may not see some of the detail that is obvious to you.
The prints were printed at LCC facilities as for the deadline and brief they were the most affordable, reliable and best finished quality for the critique. If for a show, I know have the images to indulge in more expensive paper and also a glass layered frame that will add more visual value to my work through clarity. I believe these images to be successful in to what I believed this project was aiming to do.
Scene 1 – The ordinary family of Hannah Dale. This is elaborating on the idea that before Hannahs Birth the two Dale’s very much blended in. (Quality of image is purposeful as to avoid plagiarism go to pdf for full quality image.)

Scene two- The Birth of Hannah. Being born the same size as a quart jug i interpreted that into the work. I used references from the project that were visual.

Scene 3- Hannah becomes famous chucking the family into chaos.

Scene 4- The Funeral. Reference taken from paintings to get reference.
